Dionne Warwick receives Marian Anderson award

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The prestigious Marian Anderson award was awarded Tuesday night in Center City.

Singing star and New Jersey native, Dionne Warwick is this year's recipient.

Action News had the chance to speak with Warwick ahead the ceremony at the Kimmel Center.

She said she's at a loss for words about tonight's honor.

"To be mentioned in the same breath as Marian Anderson is overwhelming," Warwick said. "It's wonderful, what can I say."
