Two local women honored for their contributions to engineering

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Two local women who have contributed a great deal to the engineering field in our region were honored Friday.

More than 200 local engineers gathered for a luncheon in Center City as part of Delaware Valley Engineers Week.

Deborah Grubbe, the owner and president of "Operations and Safety Solutions" was awarded the 2018 Engineer of the Year award.

Alexa Harper with "Gannett Fleming" was given the YOUNG engineer of the year award.
