Dollar store robber caught on camera in Crescentville section of Philadelphia

CRESCENTVILLE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are on the hunt for a dollar store bandit caught on camera in the city's Crescentville section.

The holdup happened on Thanksgiving Day at 3:55 p.m. at the Dollar General store in the 5900 block of Rising Sun Avenue.

Surveillance video shows a male suspect walking into the store, demanding money and threatening an employee with what he claimed was a weapon under his sweatshirt.

The employee complies with the suspect's demands and the suspect flees on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

He was last seen headed north on Rising Sun Avenue.

No one was hurt.
