VIDEO: Cycling class helps students
First-graders in a North Jersey school are always in motion during class but that's OK.

First-graders in a North Jersey school are always in motion during class, but that's OK.

Kids in Paramus are cycling while they read or write.

The class has had 10 pedaling desk cycles since the school year started.

The cycles donated by a local hospital seem to be the solution to fidgety youngsters.

So far, excuses to get up and distractions caused by wiggling are down.

There aren't enough of these desk cycles for everybody, but the class is so happy with the results they may try a fundraiser to buy more cycles, which cost about $150 each.
