WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- The wheels on the bus went round and round, much longer than normal Monday for about a dozen young children in Wilmington.

The little learners didn't get dropped off until shortly after 7:00 p.m.

Some of them were supposed to be taken to designated bus stops, others to a daycare program before 4:00 p.m.

But officials with the Academia Antonia Alonso on the 1200 block of North Market says there was a mix-up with the bus on this first day of school, that understandably worried parents.

"There were some challenges with the transportation that we're trying to resolve at this moment. Like I said, it's the first day of school, so we're going to have them resolved by tomorrow," school administrator Jesus Urdiales said.

Police were called, but no charges were filed.
