Love note lands 4th grader in trouble

A fourth grader in Florida is being threatened with sexual harassment.

His offense is he wrote love notes to a girl in his class.

His mom says her son passed a very sweet note to his crush.

She said in the note he gushed about the girl's pretty hair and sparkling eyes.

But soon, she says other students started teasing her son about wanting to see the little girl naked.

"That's when the principal proceeded to tell me that it wasn't appropriate that he was writing the note and that if he writes another notes they are going to file sexual harassment charges on my 9-year-old," said the boy's mother.

Hillsborough school officials say the boy wrote more than one note and that they were unwanted.

A licensed psychologist says, she believes this is not sexual harassment.

She encourages parents to talk to their children about boundaries of what is appropriate and what's not.
