WEST CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- West Chester University inaugurated its 15th president Friday morning.

Action News was there as Dr. Christopher Fiorentino was sworn in at the school's Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall.

Fiorentino has been serving as the interim president since April 2016.

He joined the University faculty in 1983 as an assistant professor of economics.

West Chester University is the largest of the 14 state-owned universities within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.

It is the fourth largest university in the Philadelphia region.
