The Philadelphia Flower Show is officially underway

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Our favorite reminder that spring is right around the corner is in full bloom at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

This year's theme is "Celebrating the Movies," inspired by Disney and Disney Pixar.

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society might be celebrating larger numbers with a whole new batch of flower show attendees... more kids than ever before.

Inside it's like Disney movies have come to life - "Fantasia", "Ratatouille", "The Nightmare Before Christmas", "Cars", "Cinderella" and "Frozen".

They are just a few that are on display at the Philadelphia Flower Show.

The oldest and largest indoor flower show draws 250,000 people and leaves a $65 million economic impact.

Proceeds go towards PHS gardening programs and tree planting in the city.

Local exhibitors welcome the international prestige - winning a prize is just an added bonus, says David Heller.

Heller, from Flowers by David, says, "It's a satisfaction that what I designed and presented clocks with the folks attending the show."

Tickets are on sale through March 8th.
