A police officer from Delaware, whose hilarious version of "Shake it Off" is closing in on 20 million views, is sharing his secrets on how the department filmed the viral video.

DOVER, Del. (WPVI) -- A police officer from Dover, Delaware, whose hilarious version of Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off" is closing in on 20 million views, is sharing his secrets on how the department filmed the viral video.

Here's what you might not know - the viral video wasn't actually shot from a police car dash cam.

A GoPro camera was set up and Officer Jeff Davis was driving through a portion of a park that was shut down.

With no one on the roads, he was actually performing alone when he is seen waving to someone through the window.

"I didn't have to do any studying, it was all done basically in one take and that was it. All ad-libbed - there was nothing rehearsed," says Davis.

"He put the camera on me, pushed play and said do what you gotta do so that's what I did," he said.

The Dover Police Department says another officer is currently shooting their next video that should be available next month.
