Fans remember Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington at Camden Waterfront

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- It was an emotional scene on the Camden Waterfront as fans of the band Linkin Park came to remember frontman Chester Bennington.

The 41-year-old lead singer was found dead in his home near Los Angles two weeks ago.

Bennington and his band were scheduled to perform at the BB&T Pavilion Tuesday night.

Those who still made it out to the concert venue wrote messages of remembrance, appreciation, and love for Bennington.

Here are some of the messages left by fans, captured by local radio station Radio 104.5:

"Chester, you and LP were amazing and inspirational. You will truly be missed."

"Life will never be the same without you. But will keep you in my heart and soul for eternity."

"Thank you Chester for giving us your very best. And for sharing your talent and soul with the world."

"The voice will never die."

The memorial also included candles and a banner reading "We are LPU." LPU stands for Linkin Park Underground, a group formed by the band for their biggest fans.

Another tribute for Chester Bennington will be held at Voltage Lounge at 421 North 7th Street in Philadelphia on Monday, August 7 from 7 p.m. to Midnight. It is free and open to the public. The bar and restaurant will be playing Linkin Park music all night long in a party atmosphere.
