Fastest, tallest roller coaster to open in NC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WPVI) -- A North Carolina amusement park is laying claim to the world's fastest and tallest roller coaster.

The three-point-five minute ride at Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte offers thrill-seekers a 30-story drop and tops out at 95 miles an hour.

The fury 325 even forced the park to create a whole new parking lot and build a new entrance as well.

The park opens to the public Saturday.
