'La La Land' picks up 7 Golden Globe nominations
Sandy Kenyon looks at all of the nominations from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association

Awards season is officially kicking off. On Monday the Golden Globes, known as "Hollywood's biggest party," announced its nominations for awards in film and television.

La La Land leads the way for films with seven nominations, followed by Moonlight with six and Manchester By The Sea which landed five nominations.

On the TV side, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story scored five nominations while The Night Manager came away with four nominations.

For film nominees, taking home a statue from the Golden Globe Awards is often viewed as a good indication of which films might get recognized when the Oscars announce nominations in January.

The Golden Globe Awards are Jan. 8, 2017. See the list of Golden Globe nominees below.
