Oct. 31 marks not one but two holidays that make it the perfect day for pranksters to do their thing: Halloween and Magic Day.

Eighty-eight years ago today, the great escape artist Harry Houdini died. Magicians everywhere celebrate on the day that happens to land on Halloween, an extra excuse to get a little spooky with their magic.

Need some inspiration on what will send chills down your friends' spines?

The prank, in which a magician appears to walk around while his legs are detached from the rest of his body, was pulled off by performer Andy Gross. The unsuspecting people have a variety of hilarious reactions, some of which are so colorful they have to be bleeped.

Gross uploaded the video in 2013, when it went viral for the first time. Friday's double holiday, though, has people sharing the classic prank again. Gross continues to perform as a magician, comedian and ventriloquist.

And in case you were wondering, Gross won't reveal how he did the trick. As he told the Journal Star in Illinois, he sticks to the "A magician never reveals his secret" code.
