Kerry Washington set to play Anita Hill

Kerry Washington is headed for HBO.

The "Scandal" star has signed on to play Anita Hill and to executive produce a TV movie for the cable network.

The tel-epic will detail the explosive 1991 Clarence Thomas-Hill Supreme Court nomination hearings.

After he was nominated, Hill claimed that Thomas had sexually harassed her.

Hill's claims drew attention to the issue of sexual harassment.

There was no release date given for the movie.
