Samantha becomes the ultimate puppet master on 'Bachelor in Paradise'

Samantha went from "Samantha who?" to Samantha the "puppet master"! She really made a name for herself on "Bachelor in Paradise" and it hasn't been a great one. When the show started this week, Joe was very upset that Samantha had accepted a date with Justin just the night before. She had dumped Joe on his birthday and he just can't understand how she went from being really into him to barely wanting to be around him. Samantha decided to pull Joe aside and she told him that she was thinking about him and that it's not fair for her to go on a date with someone else when she's still thinking about him. Joe told her he didn't want her to go on the date either. Samantha pulls Justin aside next and tells him that she can't go on the date. He's a bit confused, but he figures he might as well try for someone else and he asks Amber out. Amber said that Dan has been very slow moving with her so she figures she should see if going out with someone else might make him want her more, or maybe she'll fall for Justin.

The ladies have the power this week, so more men are expected to show up. In walked in Chris Bukowski! He's crazy, I'm so glad he's there as he's pretty entertaining to watch! It is tough for him coming in so late in the show, but let's see if he can make a connection.

Justin went into town with Amber and they walked around and stumbled across a salsa dance going on. So they joined in and things started to heat up. Just dancing together and getting to know each other it was obvious that they liked each other. Amber took off Justin's shirt and all I could think is OMG that guy needs to use some sunscreen and aloe! He was RED! Then, they started making out. It should be noted that Justin was the only guy without a shirt on at the dancing hall so that was a little strange. They moved their makeout session to the beach and into the water and Amber is wondering if she made a mistake. She likes Justin a lot but she is still thinking about Dan.

Quote of the night, "Once the sun goes down, the Bukowski comes up". Chris is drinking a ton of alcohol and not even getting to know the ladies. They are all wondering who he's going to ask out. Ashley I. thinks he is gross and Ashley S. thinks he's too drunk. At night, they all head down to the bonfire and Chris trips over it and nearly lands in the fire! Thank goodness he's OK!

Amber and Justin returned from their date and all Amber could think about is Dan. She goes up to Dan and they decide to go down to the beach to have a talk. She admitted to Dan that she kissed Justin, but all she really wants is to be with him. He admits that he didn't have a strong enough connection to her to stop her from going out with Justin. He says, "You can't force something that isn't there." He tells her he doesn't want to lead her on. Amber got teary eyed and returned back to the group. She still thinks that she blew it going out with Justin and that it's her fault, when they were already not doing that well in their relationship. Amber is unsure if she likes Justin or not.

Chris is planning on asking out Tenley but she likes Joshua. Drunk Chris walks Tenley down to the beach to ask her out on a date and he is so drunk that he can hardly talk. Tenley told him that she would go as a friend but that she won't kiss him. Chris eventually gets that he was shot down by her and he wandered off defeated. Tenley was worried that she hurt his feelings and Joshua said, "Don't worry he probably won't even remember it." Joshua goes up and asks Chris if he can have his date card and Chris said if he makes good use out of it, then go ahead. Joshua was so happy! Poor Chris! I know he did this to himself but it's a bummer and Chris was crying off on the side he was so upset. Chris took off his microphone and walked out of paradise. That was a short stay for him!

The next day, Tenley and Joshua traveled to Guadalajara! They did some sight seeing around the city and then met up with a celebrity chef! They went to the market with the chef and tried a bunch of amazing new fruits and vegetables. They learned some new techniques in the chef's kitchen and then they got to go to his famous restaurant and have an amazingly beautiful meal.

Dan confided in Carly that he is into Samantha. I'm surprised that he likes her after all of that drama! He wants to get to know her but she's still hanging out with Joe.

Back at the restaurant, Tenley and Joshua finished up their meal with a decadent dessert with fruits they picked out and then they took a carriage ride.

Tenley says that she adores Joshua and she's living in the moment and they will figure out the future when they get to that point.

It's time for the cocktail party before the rose ceremony. Amber is torn on what to do, she still likes Dan even though he doesn't like her and Justin likes her but she's not sure if she likes him. Then Ashley I. decided to give Jared a letter expressing all of her deep feelings for him. It was front and back! Amber and Justin went to have a talk and she admitted that she's not sure who is is planning on giving the rose to. Justin told her that he really likes her and he hopes that he gets her rose, and he appreciated her honesty. Amber is not into Justin though, she said that she only likes him as a friend. She wants to find love, so she decides to make a play for Jared! Amber asked Jared if he would accept a rose from her if she decided to offer him one. He said he was flattered but he didn't really give her an answer either.

Jared goes over to talk to the group about Ashley's letter and about Amber offering him a rose possibly. Amber then told Ashley I. what she said to Jared and Ashley was of course upset! I mean, what reaction did Amber expect to get? I do give her credit for being honest, but I see it as unnecessary. Jared wasn't even Amber's first choice!

Samantha and Joe talked about how much she thought about him that day and she said she thought about him all day. Ew. Dan said watching Samantha and Joe is like watching someone dump generic ketchup on filet mignon. So Dan asked Samantha to have a chat and Joe looked on disapprovingly. Samantha told Joe that she experienced love at first sight with Joe. Dan told her that he doesn't want to see her end up with a bad guy and that he gets the sense that he's "playing a lie" or "living a lie". Joe ran down to the beach and pulled Samantha aside. He walked her into the woods and started to kiss her. He said that's all he wanted to do and she could go continue her talk with Dan.

Then it was time to hand out some roses! Carly gave her rose to Kirk, Jade gave hers to Tanner, Tenley gave her rose to Joshua, Juelia gave hers to Mikey, Ashley S. gave her rose to Nick after a rambling little speech about how "the struggle is real". Ashley I. stepped up and called Jared and he accepted her rose! I was shocked he accepted it, even though he didn't seem that happy about it! Amber decided to give her rose to Justin since Dan isn't into her. She gave him the rose and said that she thinks that he should be able to "explore" what's out there. Samantha had the last rose and she gave it to DAN! Oh my gosh, I can't believe she's sending Joe home! Samantha said that Joe is the villain in this situation, and he isn't, she is! She's crazy! I can't believe how she played him!

Joe went up to Samantha and asked her why she did what she did. She said that she couldn't take the drama. Joe said that he treated her like a princess and gave her no reason to do that. Joe told her that she led him on and she disagreed. Samantha said that she couldn't believe she thought he was the one and Joe said "I was the one and that scared you." Joe said he should show everyone her text messages and she said she was offended and still refused to own up to anything in this situation. He asked her, "At the end of the day, who are you going to be with?" She said herself, and he said, "Well you are going to have a lot of cats then." It was crazy and hilarious! As Joe rode off in the limo he showed off the text messages we've heard so much about. He also said he should have *expletived* her brains out. Nice Joe, way to keep it classy.

Dan said, "I think I speak for the group in saying that we're happy you're here and that we don't blame you for any of the drama." Speak for yourself Dan! Everyone else did not believe a word that came out of her mouth to the group. Carly especially cannot stand her and Jared said that both she and Joe made mistakes. Ashley S. asked if she spoke to Dan before the show. She said that she's "struck by her beauty" but she doesn't know what's going on. Ashley said that she's like a "dead bird" to her. So weird! Samantha went off and cried at the group's reaction and Dan ran off to comfort her. She says she is sick of being questioned. He thinks that they have potential for a relationship outside of paradise. Keep dreaming Dan!

Chelsie showed up next! She was on Juan Pablo's season. She's all excited and has a date card, but decides to take some time before asking anyone out. Carly pulled Chelsie aside the next morning and gave her the scoop on who is dating who. She told her that Dan is very available because she wants Samantha to go home!

Tomorrow, Mackenzie shows up to paradise as well! It looks like she gets to go on a weird marriage date with Justin. Meantime, Jaclyn Swartz appears and makes a play for Jared. Ashley I. doesn't want to lose him so she asks Chris Harrison for a fantasy date! What will Jared do?
