April 27, 2014 (WPVI) -- The Tony Award-Winning cast of the original Jersey Boys are back in a new act!

When the Beatles led the British Invasion stateside, they brought with them a style that transcended existing musical platforms - and a sound that's still hugely popular today.

That's why The Philly Pops are closing their 2014 with a show called Sixties Hits.

Four original cast members from The Jersey Boys called The Midtown Men are joining The Philly Pops in a celebration of the tunes that helped redefine an era- from Pop, to Rock, to Rhythm and Blues.

Michael Krajewski, Music Director of The Philly Pops says, "they are traveling across the country putting on shows, singing not only music from Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, music from The Jersey Boys, but also singing music of that era, music from the 60's."

The show will take listeners on a walk down memory lane with a whole host of catchy tunes like "Sherry," "Walk Like a Man," "Happy Together" and "Can't Buy me Love."

"Music of The Beatles, music of The Turtles, music from Motown and they're fabulous singers, fabulous entertainers," says Krajewski.

They are songs over five decades old but so iconic they stand the test of time.

"Every song is a song that people will recognize and say, 'Oh I love this song, I love this song,' and these guys really deliver with a very high energy program," Krajewski says, 'when you add and enhance it with a symphony orchestra something magical happens to this music and you hear it, in some ways it's almost like hearing it for the first time."

The concert runs May 16TH through the 18th at Verizon Hall. For tickets, go to theartsinphilly.org.
