Riding on the success of his album ''Mandatory Fun,'' Weird Al Yankovic performed a medley parodying theme songs of popular shows, with ''Game of Thrones'' as the big finale.
Sarah Silverman, who created buzz for claiming that she brought ''liquid pot'' to the show, also ran up to get her award without any shoes on.
Sofia Vergara caught criticism for a bit in which she was an example of ''something compelling to look at'' on TV. She said critics took the joke the wrong way.
Robin Williams was on everyone's mind, with a tribute led by Billy Crystal and plenty of memories shared by attendees.
After Julia Louis-Dreyfus won the Emmy for  Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, ''Breaking Bad'' star Bryan Cranston laid on a smooch that lasted 11 seconds.
''Breaking Bad'' went out with a bang, winning the award for Outstanding Drama Series--as well as five others.
''Modern Family'' had a five-peat, winning Outstanding Comedy Series again. For his actor award, Ty Burrell read a speech the show's kids had prepared for him.
