PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It's a film about women on Wall Street produced and directed by women.

It's called 'Equity,' a look at what it takes for women, professionally and privately, to stay equal in the game.

Now, even though it's set on Wall Street it was shot in Philadelphia and the stars came to dish about it at 6abc.

One of the producers and stars is also local.

Sarah Megan Thomas is a Haverford native.

She says anyone who lives here will surely spot the landmarks and locales from restaurants to office spaces.

Watch the scenes very closely.

She also says bringing her films home is an honor.

"My heart is in Philly. I am a huge Eagles fan and grew up going to the Phillies games and I love to shoot here; I bring all of my films here. I love it," Thomas said.

"We were so welcomed; they say Philly is the City of Brotherly Love and I truly felt that.

There was a sense of kinship and friendship," actor/producer Alysia Reiner said.

If you recognize Alysia Reiner, she also stars in 'Orange is the New Black.'

It was directed by Meera Menon. Talk about girl power!

But Menon also says men are loving this film.

The ladies are in town Tuesday night for a special cast screening at the Kimmel Center.

'Equity' comes out in wide release on August 12th.
