Family Dollar full of shoppers robbed at gunpoint in Wissinoming

WISSINOMING (WPVI) -- A scare for shoppers as three masked men barged into a store and held the place up at gunpoint.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Family Dollar on the 5800 block of Torresdale Avenue, in the Wissinoming section.

Police said the thieves took cell phones from the customers and employees before robbing the store and making off with approximately $1200 dollars in cash.

No one was hurt.

No arrests have been made.
