Brother saves sister from kidnapper

CHICAGO, Ill. (WPVI) -- A brave young boy put his own life on the line to save his sister from a would-be kidnapper in Chicago.

DiaVonnee and her brother DeVonte were walking together on Monday. A man in a van jumped out and grabbed her.

DeVonte says she was halfway in the van when he grabbed her legs, and pulled as hard as he could.

Both brother and sister struggled to break free.

Eventually, the man gave up the fight and released her.

Their mother is calling her son a hero.

Police are now looking for the would-be kidnapper.
