MORRISTOWN, N.J. -- It's a double bundle of joy for two families.

Two New Jersey brothers became first time dads exactly six minutes apart.

Their wives delivered just minutes apart at different hospitals.

Michael and Marty Murren shared many firsts over the years. They didn't think they would share October 17, 2014.

When each of their wives became pregnant earlier this year they joked about the possibility of a shared birthday for their children but never guessed it would happen.

"It was joked about but never that there was a competition about it," Michael's wife Nanette said.

"We got the OK that we would start pushing, and then we got the phone call that they were going to start pushing, too," Marty's wife Jamie said.

It was ladies first with Olivia Lucille, followed by her cousin "Tommy" - Thomas Martin.

The back-to-back births forced loved ones to make a tough decision between hospitals.
