Two parents are being praised for embracing their son's decision to dress up as Elsa from Disney's Frozen for Halloween.

On Sunday, Paul Henson posted an image to Facebook of his 3-year-old son Caiden wearing an Elsa Halloween costume. In the post, Henson defended his son's choice to dress up as the beloved Disney character, and shared how he'll be dressing up as Princess Anna to accompany his child.

Henson's post quickly went viral, amassing over 28,000 shares and dozens of positive messages from commenters.

Caiden's mom told ABC that her son was disappointed after classmates told him he couldn't dress up as Elsa.

"I told him he could be anything he wanted to be, and if he wanted to be Elsa that was OK even though he is a boy. We called Paul a few minutes later and he was just as supportive," Ashley Rampage told ABC via email.

Ramage, who will also be dressing up as Frozen's Olaf alongside Henson and their son, said that the family is stunned by the outpouring of support.

"Never in a million years would we have expected this. We don't think we're doing anything extraordinary, there are a lot of parents out there just as supportive of their children," Ramage wrote. "I would just say thank you for all of the love & support. & to the parents breaking gender stereotypes & letting kids figure out who they are, you are making the world a better place."
