ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Authorities say an eastern Pennsylvania man committed a violent act in 2013 that left his 2-month-old daughter dead.

The Lehigh County prosecutors announced Tuesday that 31-year-old Matthew Wolfe has been charged with third-degree murder and child endangerment in the death of his infant daughter.

Police say the Allentown man said he awoke on Nov. 12, 2013, to find the infant limp and whimpering. But medical staff concluded that the daughter died from injuries including hemorrhages, skull fractures, and broken legs and ribs.

A doctor determined the baby was a victim of abusive head trauma and prosecutors say she also had older fractures

Prosecutors say the baby was seen by a pediatrician the day before but wasn't injured.

It's unclear if Wolfe has an attorney.
