Also, try a multi-use product.

And skip the blow dry!

If you are getting a cut or color, but you aren't going somewhere special, you will pay less if you dry and style yourself.

Finally, stay loyal to your hair people. Salons sometimes offer extra perks for loyal customers, like free treatments, trims and products.
