VIDEO: Groupon now offering Freebies
Unlike Daily Deals, which you have to buy, Groupon Freebies are available at no cost.

Groupon is the grand-daddy of the Daily Deal sites -- with all sorts of offers for dining, spa treatments and more.

But now, they've launched a new service called "Groupon Freebies." Unlike Daily Deals, which you have to buy, Groupon Freebies are available at no cost.

Kaetlynn Daoust of Groupon explains, "Freebies is a new category on Groupon which provides customers another easy way to save money both online and in the store. It's a curated list of discount codes, promo codes, digital coupons, giveaways and freebeis on the site from top national brands."

The name Freebies can be a little confusing. We're not talking about actual products that you get for free. Rather, this is free information that you can use to save while shopping online.

Daoust adds, "We have over 30,000 coupons on the site right now, with over 6,000 brands, and they're anything from discounts on your whole purchase to sales on specific items. And we're talking big national chains, like Sears, like Best Buy, PetSmart, Aeropostale, American Eagle. So anything from retail to like Best Buy, electronics and things like that."

So, now instead of going to one site for deals, and one site for coupon codes, you can find everything in one place.

"We just kind of want to put all of your discounts, coupons, all of your special sales in one place," Daoust says. "So you don't have to go to different sites. Reduce the clutter, one app for everything. You're already checking Groupon for the best deals in your area, so why not check it for other coupons?"

So far, the Groupon app is only available for iPhone. But you can also access the full site through your browser.
