Fire injures 2 at Parkside rooming house

PARKSIDE (WPVI) -- A fast-moving fire injured two people at a rooming house in Philadelphia's Parkside section.

Firefighters arrived around 2:30 a.m. Thursday to find heavy smoke coming from the home on the 5300 block of Girard Avenue.

The two victims were treated on the scene.

The Red Cross has been called to assist any of the displaced residents.
