PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WPVI) -- Six Philadelphia chefs are preparing for the honor and responsibility of cooking for over 500 people next week.

Their audience is at the James Beard Media Awards in New York, which honors the best in culinary writing and broadcasting. Visit Philadelphia will become the first-ever presenting partner of the event.

The dinner will be teeming with a melting pot of Philadelphia flavor.

Ange Branca from Saté Kampar has the first course. Diana Widjojo from Hardena has the middle course. Ellen Yin and Andrew Farley from High Street on Market and High Street on Hudson will make the entrée.

The three chefs responsible for dessert are Tova du Plessis from Essen, Kate Jacoby from Vedge, and Robert Toland from Terrain.

The James Beard Media Awards Dinner will be held on Friday, April 26 in New York. It is not to be confused with the James Beard Awards that honors chefs and restaurants in Chicago in May.
