Social media erupts after chef puts taco seasoning on watermelon

First it was pineapple pizza , then Peepza and now a new fruit and food combo is slicing up social media.

It's the work of the Food Network and there's been flat out horror associated with the flavor combo involving a taco seasoned watermelon.

Chef James Briscione from the show called "Man Crafted" shows off his summer entertaining tip.

He says the recipe simply involves adding a slide of watermelon to a skewer, sprinkle with salt and then add the taco seasoning.

Some social media users are applauding the flavor twist, saying don't knock it until you try it. Others on Twitter are simply aghast.
