Delaware reports three more flu related deaths.

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- The flu is to blame for three more deaths in Delaware, health officials announced Thursday.

Officials say the number of flu fatalities does not appear to be slowing down.

The total number of flu-related deaths in the state this season is now at 26.

Public health officials are urging people to continue to protect themselves from the flu.

Getting the flu shot is still recommended, as well as keeping up with proper hand washing.

It's also important to check in with loved ones who are elderly or have underlying medical conditions to ensure their health.
