Montgomery County health officials have confirmed a case of whooping cough at an area high school.

AMBLER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Montgomery County health officials have confirmed a case of whooping cough at an area high school.

A student at Wissahickon High has been diagnosed with the illness.

School administrators warned parents that other students may have been exposed.

Whooping cough is highly contagious.

Experts warn that if you show symptoms, like uncontrollable fits of persistent coughing, you should call a doctor.
