VIDEO: New father's gift
Thanks to a very special gift, one man is able to enjoy his son's first Christmas.

The holidays are a time for giving and, thanks to a very special gift, one man is able to enjoy his son's first Christmas.

Last winter, 30-year-old Andy Toth started having shortness of breath and was exhausted.

Doctors found he had an enlarged heart. Then his condition got worse.

But at the same time Andy got some exciting, yet scary news: he was going to be a dad.

"For both of us there was that fear of 'am I still going to be here? How serious is this?'" Andy said.

Unfortunately, it was serious.

He and his wife Christi went to the Cleveland Clinic for a second opinion and learned Andy needed a new heart, fast.

"They were saying they didn't expect him to live long enough to get a transplant, he was that bad," Christi said.

Three days later, Andy was on the transplant waiting list.

Three days after that, he got his new heart.

Andy says it saved his life - and his family - and no gift will ever top his newborn.

"If not for my organ donor, I wouldn't have been able to meet my son," Andy said.

"Having him home and healthy. It's just such a blessing," Christi said.

Andy is six months out from his transplant surgery.

He is doing very well and is looking forward to going back to work as a sign language interpreter in the New Year.
