VIDEO: Trusted avide for new parents?
Are new parents getting the right advice from trusted sources?

CHICAGO (WPVI) -- For new parents, there is always a lot of advice out there.

But are they getting the right advice from trusted sources?

A new study published in the journal Pediatrics finds that may NOT be the case.

A survey of more than one-thousand new moms shows some of them get surprisingly little information from doctors.

Up to half don't remember getting advice from their doctors about key topics.

One in five didn't recall advice about breastfeeding.

More than half reported NO advice on pacifier use.

And one in four say their healthcare provider didn't discuss the best way for babies to sleep - on their back.
