VIDEO: Flu cases dropping but still widespread
Despite the drop, we're still seeing widespread activity in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the number of flu cases have gone down two weeks in a row.

But despite this, we're still seeing widespread activity in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

A total of 56 children nationwide have died this season from complications from the flu.

We're seeing it hit children under four and adults over 65 harder than other age groups.

This year, the predominant strain, H3N2, has mutated, so the vaccine only offers 23-percent protection against this strain.

But the flu shot is still recommended because it can prevent other strains.

Also, especially important this year, make sure you are washing your hands often. And stay away from others who are sick.
