Researchers link diet soda drinking to lower risk of colon cancer recurrence. Nydia Han reports during Action News at noon on July 29, 2018.

There's good news for diet soda drinkers.

Researchers at Yale have linked it to a lower risk of colon cancer recurrence.

They found that those who drank one or more diet sodas a day were 46-percent less likely to see their colon cancer return.

More research is needed to determine the link between artificial sweeteners and cancer.
