Umbilical cord blood could boost brain power
Researchers in California say blood from human umbilical cords may be the key to unlocking the fountain of youth.

Researchers in California say blood from human umbilical cords may be the key to unlocking the fountain of youth.

Scientists from Stanford University have discovered a protein in human cord blood that appears to have anti-aging effects on the brain.

They say when they injected middle-aged mice with stem cells from the youngest blood possible, their memories improved, and they performed better in maze tests.

Scientists say, with further research, cord blood may one day be used to revitalize the human brain.
