According to a new study, children whose cords were cut more than three minutes after birth had slightly higher social skills and fine motor skills.

That's compared to kids whose cords were cut within ten seconds.

Doctors say there is growing evidence that all babies benefit from receiving extra blood and iron from the placenta at birth.

Both are essential to healthy brain development.
