Walgreens to stock opioid-reversal drug Narcan

The opioid overdose spray, Narcan, is now being stocked at all Walgreens pharmacies.

The nasal spray that's carried by emergency responders can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

Walgreens says Narcan will be available without a prescription in the 45 states that allow it, and is working with the remaining states to make it widely available.

CVS says it also stocks Narcan in many of its locations.

This comes on the heels of President Trump's declaration that the opioid epidemic is a national public emergency.
