WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A 12-year-old cancer survivor is on a mission to help other children battling the disease.

Peter Zucca lost one of his legs to a tumor.

Since then, with his Powerhouse Foundation, he's been trying to raise money to buy 100 wagons for the Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington.

Young patients use them to navigate the hallways.

Peter rolled around on one back when he was diagnosed with a rare cancer.

His mom says it always put a smile on his face.

"Him and his friend Haley rode all around the cancer floor in the wagons with squirt bottles of ice water and everyone was fair game. They would squirt their doctors, squirt their nurses and laugh and play like little children are supposed to," said Dawn Zucca, mom.

Peter presented the first 50 wagons to the hospital last year.

On Thursday, he and his family were on hand to present the last 50 wagons.

Peter says his next project is fundraising for special goggles that play movies while children are getting an MRI.
