EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- It's a summer scorcher, to say the least and for parents, the big question is: what to do with the kids?

We found a playground in East Falls that's not only indoors, but there's so much to do that kids could play for hours - in the air conditioning!

Kids at Play is located on the 3500 block of Scotts Lane.

"It came from a need where we felt like kids in the city - kids of all abilities can come and play together," said Julia Singer Katz, Clinical Director for Kids at Play.

It's a place where every kid, from birth through 12-years-old, can play on specialty equipment they say you can't find anywhere else.

From the slides to the swings - and even the zipline!

"That has 2 different seats we have ADA wheelchair seat and Tarzan seat as I call it," said Julia.

And if you ask the parents, they'll tell you the fact that it's indoors is clutch.

"When its raining or hot you can always come here," said dad, Tim Schellenberg from West Philadelphia.

For Tim's 2-year-old son Toby, it's a toddler paradise and a good place to come and have them shake off the energy/

"I remember when I took him here for the first time, I didn't have to tell him, 'Okay - go play!' He got it, he ran off and started playing and has loved it ever since," said Tim.

There's an art workshop, a safe archery range and a designated crawler's hangout.

Plus, a roller coaster, ball pits, interactive games and all kinds of cool things.

"This is our sensory room. It's meant to be our calming room," said Julia.

Kids at Play offers all kinds of classes and specialty services.

"We offer physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language and behavioral therapy - there's over 90 therapists working here," said Julia.

And there's a hot incentive to check it out during this heatwave this summer.

"We have our beat the heat deal which is very exciting. Every degree over 90 is $1 dollar off admission. We have a big thermometer by our front door to keep track," said Julia.

The first kid is $15 and each additional is $10.

So on top of the take $1 dollar off for every degree over 90 deal, they're offering an exclusive deal on top of that discount - just for 6abc viewers!

Parents can also take an additional 25% off through the end of July!
