We found an entertaining expert to show us some fun, crafty ideas that are easy, inexpensive, and mess-free!

It's the dead of winter and whether your kids are stuck inside on a snow day or cooped up on a super chilly one, we all know they can get cabin fever. So we found an entertaining expert to show us some fun, crafty ideas that are easy, inexpensive, and mess-free!

Tina LaMorte, an event planner and owner of Oh So Fabulous in New Jersey, says snow day fun can be creative without a mess or a fuss.

"We found a couple of cool crafts that are mom friendly. Like, I don't sew and I'm not a crafter," Tina said.

First, forage the bottom of your coat closet!

Tina showed us, "This is super-duper cute. These are actually gloves - gloves that don't have a pair. Gloves without a friend."

The kids can turn them into little stuffed friends using a few crafty store supplies.

"It's the cushy stuff that's inside of stuffed animals or pillows. So again, I don't sew. So they make this fun double sided fabric tape," Tina said.

Get some googly eyes, colorful fuzzies or whatever your little one fancies.

"And it's a cute little thing the kids can make," she said.

This next craft is basically free, courtesy of Old Man Winter.

"Basically, it's snow paint. And all it is is warm water, just to mix it at first, and food coloring," Tina said.

Grab some spray and squirt bottles from the travel section and let your little artists loose.

"I mean, could you imagine? It's just like a wonderland of a canvas," Tina said.

You can also take the fun indoors for the little ones.

Tina said, "If you don't want them to go outside, fill your bathtub up with some snow. You don't have to fill the whole thing. And let them go in there with their snow boots on and do this!"

Finally, a snow inspired treat with some powdered donuts...and skewers.

Tina says, "And you just literally put the little doughnut guys on - put three of them on to make Mister Snowman. And I got these eyes from the baking section."

Attach them with a dab of frosting and done!

"And it's no bake! No bake! Just like it's like no sew - no bake, no mess. That's what we are about on snow days," Tina said.
