VIDEO: Amputee ballerina's inspirational recital
Just 11 months after her surgery, the ballerina took part in her first recital.

We want to introduce you to an incredible little girl who may have lost her leg in a terrible accident, but she never lost her determination to become a prima ballerina.

8-year-old Alissa Sizemore twirled through tenor trio Gentri's new music video, 'Dare.'

That alone would be a triumph for any child, but especially for Sizemore.

Last May, the Utah girl was hit by a UPS truck and her leg was amputated below the knee.

Still, Sizemore refused to let the operation keep her off stage.

Just 11 months after her surgery, the ballerina took part in her first recital.

Halfway through her performance, she decided to show friends and family why she chose Colbie Caillat's ballad "Try," a song about embracing life's beautiful imperfections.

Sizemore's mother says there wasn't a dry eye in the gym by the end of her performance.
