Gunman sought in deadly shooting in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND -- Police are searching for the gunman who shot and killed one man and critically wounded another in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia late Thursday.

The shooting happened at 11:20 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of Bellmore Street.

Officers arrived to find two men shot: one was in a minivan, the other lying a short distance away.

Both were rushed to Temple University Hospital.

A 24-year-old man was pronounced dead, and a 35-year-old man remains in critical condition.

So far there have been no arrests.

Police are hoping surveillance video in the area will help to identify a suspect.
