KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a deadly shooting in Kensington.

It happened around 2 a.m. Monday on the corner of Jasper and East Monmouth streets.

Police said a gunman shot a 56-year-old man in the head, face and arm at point blank range.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect ran from the scene.
