Man shot at close range in West Kensington

WEST KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A man was shot in the back of the head at close range in the West Kensington section of Philadelphia, police said.

It happened around 9 p.m. Sunday along the 2100 block of North Hancock Street.

The 34-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said he lived four blocks away.

Homicides detectives were talking to a witness and checking surveillance cameras.
