Man shot, critically wounded in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A 41-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in Wilmington.

It happened after 3 a.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of LaMotte Street.

Action News is told the victim collapsed on the street with gunshot wounds to the face and chest.

Medics rushed him to Christiana Hospital for treatment.

Police are working to determine who shot the man and why.
