1 dead, 1 critical after shooting in Brewerytown

BREWERYTOWN (WPVI) -- One man is dead and another injured after a shooting in the Brewerytown section of Philadelphia.

It happened at 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of North Newkirk Street.

Investigators say a 25-year-old man was shot in the chest and rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A 45-year-old man was also shot in the chest and taken to Hahnemann University Hospital.

There was no immediate word on his condition.

No arrests have been made.
