1 dead in double shooting in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One man is dead and another is hospitalized after a shooting in West Philadelphia.

The incident occurred around 10:25 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 62nd and Market streets.

Police rushed a 25-year-old man with a wound to the chest to Penn Presbyterian Hospital.

He was pronounced dead after arriving.

A 36-year-old man was shot in the hip. He is in stable condition.

Investigators found 21 spent shell casings at the scene from three different weapons.

Police have also recovered surveillance from a nearby camera.

There is no word on any suspects or the motive for the shooting.
