1 injured after shots fired in Hunting Park

HUNTING PARK -- A man was injured while trying to get away in a car after someone fired several shots in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia.

It happened Wednesday evening on the 3600 block of North 8th Street.

Police say the 29-year-old driver was apparently heading in the wrong direction trying to flee the shooter.

He was shot in the back and then crashed his vehicle into some parked cars.

He was taken by private auto to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Police are looking for the shooter
