1 injured in multi-vehicle crash in Lower Merion Township

LOWER MERION TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Authorities say one person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

The accident happened just past 1:00 p.m. Saturday on Wynnewood Road.

The exact details of the crash are unclear.

One person was flown to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. No word on a condition.

Both eastbound and westbound traffic was shutdown on Wynnewood Road between Ballytore Avenue and Route 30 as the scene was cleared.

The accident remains under investigation.
