1 person injured in Bella Vista apartment fire

BELLA VISTA (WPVI) -- One person was hurt in a fast-moving 2-alarm fire in the Bella Vista section of Philadelphia.

The fire started around 3:30 a.m. Thursday on the 1000 block of Salter Street.

An Action News viewer sent us a picture showing flames shooting from the roof.

The blaze was challenging for firefighters because it happened in apartments in an alley.

Several units were damaged.

One man was taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation.

The Red Cross arrived to help the displaced residents.

No word yet on the cause of the fire.
